Does anyone belong to ESPN insider?

On the ESPN.com homepage, there is a headline "Sexson irked by resigning offer" and I can't open it.

Can someone check it out and post it?

I've been debating about signing up for ESPN INsider - if I didn't have to get the actual magazine I probably would have before now - but that headline blurb really intrigued me, too. Maybe I'll go ahead and sign up.

I hope Joe plans to offer Sexson arbitration, at least, so we can get the picks.

OK - I checked it out - nothing new at all - he resents being offered a non-guaranteed 3-yr contract which reportedly becomes firm after 120 games, saying in that case, his twice-dislocated, surgically-repaired shoulder could be fine and he mightlose money over a sprained ankle. He also irritably denies any 'done deals' with Seattle.

I didn't see a related story.

This is the latest on Sexson from the Hot Stove thread.

Richie Sexson News:
Diamondbacks GM Joe Garagiola Jr. extended a new proposal to free agent Richie Sexson yesterday.
The contract better include more guaranteed money if the Diamondbacks hope to sign him. All indications are that he will go unless he gets a fully guaranteed three-year deal. The Diamondbacks want to include vesting options to protect themselves against another shoulder injury.

OK, now I need help - did anyone go to the AzFL game between the Scottsdale Scorpions and the Peoria Saguaros yesterday? The Saguaros had pulled to within one game of the Scorps for the division lead, so the game yesterday was important. The final score isn't listed any of the normal places.

btw - I cannot get copy/paste to work on ESPN insider.

Rumor Central Nov. 13 update:

Richie Sexson
Diamondbacks

Diamondbacks
Mariners
Orioles
Mets

Nov. 13 - Sexson is still on the desert radar. But he has a problem with the Diamondbacks' deal to woo him back – they want him to meet playing time requirements in order to earn full-value of the contract, the East Valley Tribune reports.

Sexson played only 23 games last season because of a shoulder injury, but he had missed just nine of a possible 486 games in three previous seasons with the Brewers. "I have so much confidence in my shoulder right now, it's hard for me to sign a deal like that," the first baseman told the Tribune." "Say I take a deal of that nature and sprain my ankle . . ."

The newspaper reports that he could reach that threshold by playing at least 120 games either next season or in 2006.

Sexson dismissed reports that the Diamondbacks have offered a three-year, $30 million deal because he says not all of the offer is guaranteed. He also questions a report that an offer from the Mariners is imminent. "Nobody told me," he said.

I'm sure the D-backs are smart enough to add the clause so it pertains only to the shoulder going out again - C'mon.
