Looks fun. Might finally use gift cards. Been to theater one in last 4 years to see this is the end.

Good but not great. Some funny parts but also some parts that drag on a bit.

Yea this is made by the those who made this is the end. I was laughing my butt off the whole time during that movie.

thx for update. Curious for more. No kids Friday night so either going to see a movie or having a season 2 of house of cards marathon

I will say that I am not a parent, so maybe I couldn't relate to Seth Rogen's character that much. People who have dealt with the transition from independence to parenthood might enjoy the movie a bit more.

FWIW, the second season of HoC would get my vote for a more entertaining evening.

Better than This is the End. I was disappointed in that movie. This movie was a good comedy but not great. It had some really damn funny moments. I think my enjoyment went to another level though when at the theater this weekend, we watched 3 little old ladies hysterical over some of the "member" gags in the film.

I agree with the take it could have been great. It was so close to getting there and each time it just fell flat because the filmed jumped back and forth between frat boy comedy and rom com. It was uneven that way.

Definitely worth seeing IMO though. Most of the comedies we have seen as of late flat out sucked.

I think where this movie fell flat for me is that after the first couple gags, the Frat Guys just weren't all that funny. Rogen and Byrne were consistently funny throughout, but the frat side of things could have been much more outrageous. i liked what they did by making the frat guys more then just your average frat guys and giving a little pathos to them, but I think they erred on the side of caution from really letting those characters rip.

Yeah, could have been funnier, but I love R-rated comedies so I enjoyed it.

It was missing something though. Perhaps some Apatow would have taken it over the top.

Definitely. A couple of those scenes were totally relatable.

I was impressed by Zac Efron. I thought he was solid in his role, I didn't know he had it in him. Dave Franco was fine too. Damn he sure looks like his brother.

Not the greatest comedy and mean-spirited most of the time, but a lot better than Seth MacFarlane's crapfest.

We turned it off about 40 minutes in. Barely got a smile out of what we saw. Foul simply for the sake of being foul, idiotic predictable plot and unlikable characters. We found very little to like.

1 out of 5 stars for us.

This one was overall just meh. Some funny moments for sure but not a movie I'd choose to watch again. I did rent from the library Neighbors 2 with Neighbors 1 so I at least liked it enough to be curious enough about the sequel.

Loved Rose Byrne. I like Zac Efron.
