NEW YORK -- Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas will be hitting restricted free-agency for the first time in his career in an offseason where he had the best production since he came into the NBA. Brooklyn has a lot of decisions to make this summer with its abundance of cap space and draft picks, but Thomas is excited to continue his career with the Nets if the cards fall that way.

"We'll see. Those are conversations that the front office and my agents will have. I'm not sure when, but we'll see how it goes," Thomas said during his exit interview on Monday. Thomas heads into free-agency at a time where only a few teams are projected to have enough money to give him the kind of raise that he could be looking for with the Nets projected to have the most cap space by far, meaning he could be coming back to where it all started.

"But, I'm definitely excited to come back and play in front of the fans again," Thomas continued. "I know the fans love me and I love to play in front of them, give them a good show. So, it's definitely mutual, but we'll see. It's just part of the business Can't really tell on that, I don't know. So, we'll see."

Thomas, 23, is coming off his best season in the NBA in terms of production as he averaged 24.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game while shooting 43.8% from the field and 34.9% from three-point land. However, Thomas' prospects in free-agency will be interesting given that he's entering the open market having played just 25 games last season due to his continued issues with his left hamstring.

For anyone wondering what Thomas' market looks like, HoopsHype's Michael Scotto said in March that the former LSU Tiger's market value is "all over the place" when talking to anyone in league circles who may have knowledge of what Thomas could command. Brian Lewis of the New York Post reported during the season that "a source told the Post Thomas could command in the $20 million to $22 million range" so Thomas' foray into free-agency will be interesting to monitor.

With that being said, Thomas will have some important decisions to make this offseason as well as he will have to decide if coming back to Brooklyn is what's best for his career moving forward. He has seen his game take off over the past couple of seasons once the trio of Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving were traded away, but Thomas remains confident in the value that he brings to any team that he plays for.

"I know my value, I know what I'm worth around the league," Thomas explained. "It's not really nothing for me to be intimidated or excited about because I know my value that I bring to a team. We'll see how that goes, but I definitely know my value and know my worth. I think that's all that matters to me."
