Brooklyn Nets forward Trendon Watford was on his way to what could have been a great game in Thursday's 105-99 overtime loss at the Indiana Pacers before getting ejected in the fourth quarter. Following his scuffle with Andrew Nembhard and Myles Turner, Watford was assessed two technical fouls, ejecting him from the game, but it seems that his punishment for his actions do not stop there.

The NBA, specifically Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations, announced on Friday that Watford had been fined $35,000 for his role in the altercation between himself, Nembhard, and Turner. However, it doesn't seem like this will be a one-way kind of punishment as Turner is also being fined $35,000 for his role in the scuffle while Nembhard is being fined $20,000 for initiating the altercation.

The incident, which can be viewed here, occurred in the fourth quarter with the Nets leading the Pacers 84-77 with 4:51 left in the period as there appeared to be some trash-talking between Watford and Nembhard before the two had to be separated. At the time that Watford was ejected, he had 15 points, five rebounds, and two assists while being one of the few players who could get their own shot against anyone on Indiana's defense.

The good news is that Watford was only fine for his actions instead of being suspended on top of that. However, his wallet probably won't feel the same way as those who are just happy that Watford is available to play in Saturday's rematch at the Pacers. Watford is scheduled to make $2.7 million this season, meaning that this fine will be for about 1.3% of his salary for this campaign.

Per Spotrac, Watford has been fined nine times in his four-year career, with all of those fines being accrued within the last two seasons that he has been with the Nets. In terms of fines that he has received related to technical fouls and ejections, Watford has paid $19,000 back to the NBA, not including the $35,000 that he owes for the events in Thursday's loss at the Pacers.
