The NFL draft is less than two weeks away, which means we will see some final mock drafts and projections. Pro Football Network has a new seven-round mock draft. What does it say about the Arizona Cardinals?
They get a pass rusher in the first round and a defensive tackle in the second round, continuing to build the defensive front seven, which has been their offseason trend.
Let's see the picks for the Cardinals.
The first three picks seem like great fits and would match what the Cardinals will try and do with the draft. Williams has the ideal frame, is coachable, has production and is very young (only 20 years old).
In the second round, Ohio State guard Donovan Jackson goes one pick after they take Alexander. If Jackson is on the board, considering their connection to him with offensive line coach Justin Frye and their need at guard, it would be hard to see them pass on him.
Bechs would be an underrated pick.
Travis is a giant of a man at 6-foot-8 and 339 pounds, with 34 7/8-inch arms and athleticism.
Getting a running back in the fifth round is about as early as they probably will consider it. Gordon is big.
The Cardinals love collecting cornerbacks in the draft, so Waxter would make sense, even if they don't really need another Day 3 corner.
