The Chicago Bears selected tight end Colston Loveland with the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, adding another premier target for quarterback Caleb Williams.

Loveland is an elite athlete, great route runner and can develop into a playmaking weapon, especially with new head coach Ben Johnson calling the shots on offense. Loveland will serve as a perfect complement to Cole Kmet as Chicago's offense looks to break out.

While Loveland wore number 18 for the Michigan Wolverines, the rookie tight end will be donning a new number with the Bears. Loveland will wear number 84, according to NFL Jersey Numbers. The last Bears player that was assigned 84 was Miles Boykin, who signed a one-year deal this offseason.

The numbers 84 and 85 will now be symbols of two of the most impactful weapons in the passing game for Williams. The duo of Kmet and Loveland should give Chicago one of the best tight end duos around the NFL and Johnson will have plenty to work with in 12 personnel or finding the most suitable ways to get Kmet and Loveland to their highest level of production.
