Bought a new computer and transferred all data from old computer but am having issues with licenses. iTunes, WalMart MP3, Microsoft Streets & Trips, Rise of Nations (ok so I'm old fashioned) etc. All are saying I need to reauthorize or purchase new licenses. I don't think I should have to pay again for all this stuff just because I had to upgrade my computer.

Any help would be appreciated. If I get some really good advice I might give the Big "O" another free ticket to a Cards game.

You should just be able to re-authorize the software.

Usually they will give you a couple of tries before it is denied.
If they do deny it you should be able to call them and get it authorized for a replacement computer.

The only software I can think of that is specifically and exclusively tied to particular hardware is OEM software. That is Windows, Office, or other software that came pre-loaded from the manufacturer.

That's been my experience as well.

The certificates for your songs are on your old hard drive somewhere.
