Will it be Lopez and Gortat?

Lopez
Gortat
Hill
Carter
Nash

Or will it remain Frye at PF? I like what Frye is doing out there now.

I think Gortat should start over Lopez. Somehow i think a Nash/Gortat combo > Nash/Lopez.

They're saying Thursday at home against the Heat.
Which will make the next two games very difficult to win, if they weren't already. I'm thinking Nash may sit those out too.

Damn. That's a long wait for me. I'm psyched to see how we play with Gortat, Carter and Pietrus.

Our lineup will be sort of weird against SA and Oklahoma City then.

Nash, Dragic
Childress, Dudley?
Hill, Dudley?
Frye, Warrick
Lopez Barron

It should also be mentioned that Pietrus has a knee injury, so he may not play right away. He was supposed to have had an MRI on Wednesday, but I don't know what the results were.

I like the lineup of:

Nash
Carter
Lopez (the job will probably be taken by Gortat later on)
Frye
Hill

The thing is, Warrick plays better with Nash. If the Suns want to maximize Warrick they need to start him. I'm thinking there is another trade to come sooner or later before the trading deadline. This trade will cause the lineups to be juggled once again.

The Suns should at least bring in another PG for a look. Nash might need more rest than expected. On my Christmas wish list is a trade for a PF and a PG.

Yes, I want it all Mr. Babby.

Dudley just tweeted that Carter's playing tomorrow. Which means Gortat probably is too.

Pietrus is injured so Childress will play til Pietrus is ready to go.

Actually Dudley just re-tweeted a tweet from NBATV which is just promoting the Suns/Thunder game they are airing. Certainly they have no idea whether Carter will actually play and it seems unlikely.

Yea and Gortat is supposedly an excelllent pick & roll player according to Orlando fans and Paul Coro. But he never had the chance in Orlando cause Nelson isn't a good pick & roll player.

With Nash, he should be able to flourish.

Frye will continue to start at pf. Lopez will start at c but expect him to split time almost equally with Gortat. Bickley characterized Gortat today as a "better than average starting center." I do not think I can remember a time when the Suns had a better than average starting C that wasn't a pf trying to play C. I suppose Shaq is an anomoly.

Can't waith to see Gortat on the P&R with Nash.

It will start as:

C=Lopez/Gortat
PF=Frye/Akim
SF=Hill/Pietrus
SG=Carter/Dudley/Childress
Nash/Dragic

I think it will end up very shortly as:

C=Gortat/Lopez
PF=Frye/Akim
SF=Hill/Pietrus
SG=Carter/Dudley/Childress
Nash/Dragic

However, I think Lopez fades away backing up Gortat. If Gortat ends up being a legit center..this is beginning of the end for Lopez. Now, I know we could use him as a backup center.....however, I don't see the Suns getting rid of small ball. I think the Suns will want to play small ball and get out and run from time time. That means to me that Lopez is the odd man out.

When the team plays small ball (which I do hate)...I think it will look like this:

C=Frye
PF=Hill/Akim/Pietrus (depending on who is playing well)
SF= Whichever of the 2 hottest of the 3 above
SG=Childress or Dudley (if either are playing well)
PG= Nash

I just don't believe this team will ever abandon small ball. Which means I see some of our SF getting some time at PF still....especially if Akim is not playing well.

Everyone is down on Rolo it seems, I think he should stay as a starter. I like his disruptive size, pretty decent hands, and a nice touch from the free throw line and field.

After seeing Lopez known down that 10-15 footer everytime tonight, I think him AND Gortat can play together on the court and Lopez'd be the PF.

We would destroy the paint and if Lopez keeps working on that jump shot, then it would work offensively as well.

He is hugely underachieving on the boards and is your starting center? He is directly contributing to this team being a piss poor rebounding club. You can't have your legit center average less then 5 rebounds per game. He is a worse then Amare.

How can you continue to have Lopez start if you already know that having Lopez and Frye are not going to improve rebounding?

Not a chance. Lopez is too slow. He can't keep up with the majority of the PF's in this league. Won't happen.

Gortat can guard the PFs. He's one of the most mobile centers in the NBA.

Actually, I think we have a good chance to beat the Spurs with the new team as long as Nash is semi healthy.
