From Mark Stein:

20 (21) Suns 16-29 For a second there, it looked like new Suns were on the rise. Then came three painful losses (Nuggets, Spurs, Wolves) by total of 11 points.

Still moving up, even if it is only one spot, but it's amazing how we can be without Amare and lose to 3 top teams by only 11 points total. That is VERY encouraging, IMO.

And in the last poll they said that they didn't see us getting any higher. I'm excited about our team I think we have a lot of potential

You're right. I think we've got alot of potential to move up in the Power Rankings. Very exciting stuff.

I guess the Suns will not get any respect until they play on TNT and the people back east get to see them play.

Also, people lose track of who is healthy and who isn't (I know I lose track). For example, the Jazz have not done well since Harpring went down. Amare may be more important to the Suns than Harpring to the Jazz.

What sucks is the fact that the Refs basically stole both of the last 2 games from us.

If we weren't playing for the lottery it would drive me nuts. The league seriously has to do something about that. It's funny how they deny that there is bias towards the "succesful" teams because there definately is.

Often the refs seems to favor the home team, but that was certainly not the case with the Spurs.

The Suns will not get any respect until they start beating quality opponents. No one except a team's fans care about "almosts" and "if onlys." We can be encouraged by the improved effort and close games, but in the eyes of the national media, losses are losses.

I agree but I think if all things were equal we would have won a couple of those games. Joe Johnson has been hacked a lot the past few games, if he had been able to go to the line after he'd been hacked I think those games would have probably ended differently.
