Finally...a reasonable assessment of Rosen's value.

It won't happen but my best case scenario (if we are selecting Murray anyway):

Take Q or Bosa #1, then take Murray at #15 or #17 (trading Rosen for that pick).

Josh Rosen could be major player in Giants’ draft-night drama

“The people that are saying that Josh Rosen is not worth 17, they’re all fools,’’ Dan Shonka, general manager and national scout for Ourlads’ scouting service, told The Post. “Josh Rosen would be the best quarterback in this draft. Then it would be Dwayne Haskins. Haskins is the best quarterback in this draft, and he’s going to be a really good quarterback. Josh Rosen is ahead of him right now.’’

“It was chuck and duck, and it was horrible,’’ an NFL talent evaluator specializing in quarterbacks told The Post. “Let me tell you, what they did to that kid, it’s criminal. He got the hell kicked out of him. That offensive line was terrible, they struggled to run it and they didn’t have anybody to throw to. Other than that it was great. If I’m the Giants, Rosen is a better possibility than Haskins.’’

“The Cardinals would be fools, they’d be stupid to do that,’’ Shonka said. “That guy’s a first-round draft choice, they moved up [from No. 15] to No. 10 to get him, and they’re going to give him away, with one year of experience? I think Rosen would be a steal at 17. I tell you what, if the Giants got him at 37, that would be highway robbery.’’

I think it could happen with Miami on the clock at #11.

Went to bed thinking we are sticking with Rosen but woke up this morning feeling like Murray is the preference but we are trying to work a deal.

Wishful thinking...

The Cardinals are set on drafting one of the top D players at #1.

They also want Murray but not at #1.

They will watch him fall and hope to trade with Denver, Cincy, Miami, Washington, Giants etc for Rosen and draft Murray. If they can't make that happen...they keep Rosen and act like that never happened.

Smh... More ridiculousness.... Murray will not last past pick 4 or 5. That's regardless of trades or trade backs.

Maybe so but that's why I prefaced with "wishful thinking".

As a Cardinal fan, you shouldn't care if Murray is #1. You should want the best D player at #1 and Murray. That would be a very impressive draft haul.

Sure. I guess I am just more of a realist.

My top thought was swapping with San Fran to ensure they get Bosa. We take their 2nd rounder as compensation.

If we did that though.... I fear we would lose Murray to another trade.

Who would trade up to 3 or 4 for Murray? Not poking the bear...genuinely interested.

I think Murray is the perfect storm with KK as our HC. If we still had Wilks as HC (shudder)...where would Murray be ranked/mocked? I don't think it would be top 5...probably not top 10. It's hard to say since the first day he declared, this was a nuclear bomb of speculation that couldn't be stopped. I don't know what reality is anymore in regard to Murray's value outside of the Cardinals.

Giants. Oak maybe. Jags. Probably Miami. Maybe Denver or Wash.

The deal has to be right for everyone though.

The trade would be at 3. Oakland has all the picks they can handle. They might even consolidate. I don’t see the
Jets going below 11, so figure the Giants, Broncos or Bengals unless there’s a 3 team trade.

Dan Shonka maybe u dont know but is the user @HeHasRosen

Wow didn't know you thought that highly of me juza .i appreciate the compliment. Hes just looking at it in an unbiased common sense point of view. Many people still think Rosen can and will be good. Experts and people well respected in the football community. Even your beloved analytics based PFF have said they still think Rosen will be good. Only on this board will you see him being called a bust.

So which is it?

Without trade he's gone in the first 5 or someone will trade up into this range to pick him?

Pick a lane.

The only way that is possible is to trade peterson as well.

I'm talking about moving no lower than 2. My lane is clearly defined IMO.

Or the rest of the nfl, unwilling to trade for him
