Maybe the Suns pick up a backup PG like Telfair or someone like that as a FA. I'm just using Telfair as an example.

TJ Warren might actually play regular minutes now unless Wright takes all backup minutes at PF and C.

Either Warren or Marcus has to back up Markieff.

I would be all for giving Warren the backup PF job. Mook will probably play there alot though.

So no real upgraxes anywhere and we cough up Lakers pick. Babby/McD/Sarver are a joke.

Lateral moves at best across the board, lost most valuable asset in the process.

Two steps forward, two back

So far from what I've seen, I'm loving these trades. I don't like losing the Lakers pick or Dragic alone, but we turned assets that were not in favor of the Suns long term, into ones that were, all while unloading people who were unhappy, and gaining what appears to be talent in return, more picks, and cap space, while pressured. McD imo looks like a genius right now.

I want to see more TJ Warren, I love this kid's potential.

Knight is someone we could keep or move, either way we have another year to decide, unless he signs a RFA offer, at which point we can still sign/trade others before signing him.

Sure it was McD who planted the lemon tree, but he was smart enough to make some mean lemonade, so it's all good.

Hands were tied when Dragic made the trade options so limited.

I'd take Knight over him or Thomas anyway. THAT is an upgrade, IMO, I also think it clarifies the lineups in the back court, so that should help.

Losing Plumlee without getting a viable guy to plug in there is going to hurt. Not that Plumlee has been up to snuff this year, but I like him up there more than seeing Marcus Morris playing in the front court.

Hope to see Gerald Green explode again..

If he does not return to his form from last year than Goodwin will fight for those minutes..

Losing Plumlee was bad yes.

Especially since Brandon Wright is probably gone in the summer.. we will have no backup center and no backup power forward.

It's nice to see some fans not taking a pessimistic approach. I think the Suns got a blooming star in Knight.

I think McD saw Plumlee as expendable. I like Plumlee but he's just always seemed feast or famine. Sort of like Green. With Len's ascension and the acquisition of Wright, I think we found out with the trade who McD didn't want between the three. Of course this is a guess, so who knows.

I think the Suns own his Bird Rights.

We basically traded Dragic, Thomas, Plumlee and the LAL 1st rd draft pick for Brandon Knight, John Salmons and two likely late 1st rd picks.

Brandon Wright and Brandon Knight has protential to make for frequent misunderstandings.

And I have little doubt Steve Albert will flub their names on a Knightly basis.

We got more than that, plus cap space. Just saying.

Unless something changes of course lol.

Three firsts
Danny Granger
Cap space.

Meanwhile we wouldn't of re-signed Plumlee, and Plumlee probably wouldn't of. IT if the rumors are true, was not good in our locker room, Dragic wouldn't of re-signed.

So in less the ideal situations, we actually got good if not great value.

In fact it seems the IT deal was pulled on one end because we got a better offer from Boston.

Overall though, we have to see for sure who is what, look at all the cap space, and all that stuff before we figure out, preliminary how good this is. This definitely does not seem bad.

Also the rumor they keep saying on ESPN is that we offered Dragic for Knight straight up. Seems under pressure we ended up with a better deal than that.

The two Miami picks are way in the future, who knows how good they will be. Dragic could just leave them this year.

Also one of the Miami picks is completely unprotected.

We also got a Cavs 2016 pick.

Brandon Knight is 23 and a very good player who can still get much better.

Basically

Lakers pick, Plumlee and Ennis for Knight
Dragic for 2 first round picks
Thomas for 1 first round pick

I just think the Suns under sold that LAL pick. Plus how much is Knight gonna cost? Are we gonna have another Bledsoe type summer?

As I see it, the Suns would have lost Dragic for nothing if not traded in the last minutes. Plumlee, Dragic and IT wanted to be out of here so they could be "stars." Knight is an excellent player at only age 23, probably better than Dragic IMO. Also the Suns get some picks down the road that can be kept or traded.

LOL, but you were just saying that any Dragic-led team is doomed to suckdom. So it's better for the Suns now if he stays in Miami, right?

Talk about Orwellian doublespeak.

We wanted a first for Plumlee
We wanted a first for Thomas
We probably wanted a first for Ennis

We wanted Knight for Dragic, Bucks declined

In the end we got 3 first rounders and Knight for exactly those players plus the Lakers pick.

But it's Brandan Wright, not Brandon Wright, so, that will likely clear things up.
