"I've heard less and less as the deadline's come along, so I've pretty much forgotten about it. I don't think anything's going to happen," he said.

The latest speculation involves the Arizona Diamondbacks, who are interested in Conine as a first baseman. "I haven't talked to my agent about it. We haven't heard anything," he said.
