Agreed, but the lettering across the front of the jerseys is awful.

Lettering really sucks -- sort of goth/art nouveau. Color looks more ruby red than brick red. Like the Stanford Cardinal.

I think they did go with less. There are less borders and fringes and stuff on these jerseys. I like the new text because its different than anything out there and the letters look like fangs. I just want a hat with the DB logo on it.

The "Arizona" is passable, but the "D-backs" is just gross looking

Not a big fan of the "D-Backs" IMO it should have been Diamondbacks across the cheast but meh. I love the new "A" and the "Arizona" jerseys. Overall, I do like them though.

I sort of liked the pinstripes and purple, BUT I love the new jerseys. Good choice in switching. Much better look.

The "D backs" in huge letters looks special ed to me. Wow, unbelievably ugly on that one. The new "D" logo is still lame. I like the red jersey, but the "DBACKS" on it, just ruins it. Why not just have it say "Arizona"? The black uni looks lame, but I can't put my finger on why I dislike it.I think its the black uni's w/ black hats, its just like "How much more black could there be" and the answer is "none, none more black."

The only one I like is the grey that says "Arizona", but the font is still pretty ugly. The font is too big and the uppercase "K" doesn't work w/ the lower case "A" on the "Dbacks" logo. If the A was upper case, and thus created the fang look, like on the logo that would be cool, but as is, it just looks strange.

And again, 4 different uni's, thats too many. How about 2 or 3? I say ditch the black all together, have white at home, grey on the road and red on special days.

These uni's suck. Red is the new black of a decade or so ago.. The Yotes, now the Dbacks. Lame... lame... lame...

BTW, AZcent has a video shoot of the uni's up as well.

Didn't really see a need for a change. Having said that...I like the color scheme okay, but the lettering (fonts) is terrible if not embarrassing. Way too big and kind of...oh I dunno..."Navaho-ish" looking. The word "Arizona" on the front of the jersey reminds me of those big Indian signs you see up on I-40 while driving through Arizona. You know the ones advertising souveneir type stuff.

Jerry's people built everything classy about the Diamonbacks. These new owners seem to not really be from here, and wanted to get a new look that people outside Arizona could better identify the State of Arizona with. Sorry...I like the colors but the lettering looks like the team should be called the Arizona Navajo's or someting like that.

Totally agree about the "D*Backs"...I remember when they were talking about what the team name would be and one of our reporters was hoping that it wouldn't be the Diamondbacks because inevitably, everyone would call them the D Backs. Well, now it's official, we're the D Backs. I'm not even sure what a "D Back" is, besides perhaps a Sesame Street character.

Also, I've never been a fan of the "A" logo, wish we would have changed that.

Things I like:

I'm actually liking the color change (but agree, that they went a little over board on the black). I'm also glad to see the pinstripes go. And also happy that they tossed the sleeveless jerseys (they always just looked cheap to me).

I've obviously been agianst the color changes from the beginning and finally seeing it makes me sick. Way to go Dbacks, I was gonna get one of the new hats but not now. I'm gonna go get 2 of the old hats in one of those 2 for 1 sales. If your gonna change it up, at least be creative. Black and red, WOW! You make the Bidwills slanting that mean Cardinal eye look like the smartest guys in town

not the biggest fan of the "dback" lettering - but the arizona gray is very nice - the hats are also much improved as well as the patches

just like the coyotes these are an improvement
