I kinda like them. It's a complete and utter change from the old ones.

People who like the uniforms of the 60's and 70's shouldn't even bother looking, you will just get upset. There are no black shoes or grey facemasks here.

Yeah, there is a similarity. I remember the Rams used to have a horn type design on the shoulder - but they haven't had it for awhile.

Considering that those pictures are not from the Vikings site and the Vikings have not officially revealed any new uniforms as of yet, I would suggest waiting until it's official before spending too much time debating.

Kinds of reminds me of all the unofficial Cards uniforms circulating prior to the unveiling. All with a "hint of yellow" which never happened.

I will add that the picture looks very official -- like form an official Reebok information release. The R700A are the "authentic" jerseys that we buy and have customized while the R711 is the "replica" jersey.

I have no idea what the 7048A is, unless it's the actual on field jerseys which are slightly different than authentics.

I was thinking the same thing. I doubt Minnesota would alter their uniforms that drastically.

We've been discussing that very picture all day today on the logos boards...

Apparently, it's legit. I don't have the official Style Guide files (yet), but someone who has possession of the new 2006 guide (printed form) has verified its accuracy.

Ignore the colors on that pic...the Vikings aren't changing colors. I HAVE confirmed that. It's a bad scan.

Note the logo on the back of the neck...the Cardinals started a new trend...

Pantone, is there a different kind of mesh jersey indicated on those pictures?

It's a Reebok template, and I think they just like to indicate different fabrics in their graphics.

I've got some CFL files Reebok did, and they look just like those do.

Ok I thought I was losing my mind and seeing purple as blue.

Those are pretty lame, but so are the Cardinals jerseys, I dont like the new flashy style. Give me something simple, the old Cards jerseys were fantastic. ASU clearly has the best jerseys in the state now (UofAs new ones with the blue helmets are a travesty)

As much as I hated the old Cardinals uniforms (I had been wanting changes since around 1972), you will be pleased to know that "officially", the old Red jersey is still available as an alternate jersey.

I don't like it, but there it is.

Seriously? Will they wear them sometime, like the Suns who are always wearing their old unis (even though theirs are ugly)?

I have no idea. But when the old uniforms were introduced (almost exactly one year ago), they mentioned it. This is why they kept talking about the fact that there were SIX uniform combinations (three jerseys, two pants).

Here's the uniform article from my site...since we're so close to the anniversary anyway:

Here's another article that mentions the "classic" alternate jersey:

I heard from a vendor that they are starting a third type of jersey this year outside of the "Replica" and "Authentic". The new jersey is a slightly better quality than the replica jersey but not nearly the heavy mesh of the authentic. However, all numbers and letters are stitched on while any logos are screened on as they are with the replicas. He said the "EQT" jerseys that were sold over the past couple of years in test markets were to determine the viability of this new style of jersey. I bought a Steve Largent EQT jersey two years ago and if that is an indication of the newer style, it's gonna be a great thing. It's a perfect blend for those of us that don't want to drop $200+ but are willing to spend a little more to get something better than the current replicas. He said the new jerseys would sell for about $100 which would make sense given the graphic in the original post that lists a price point of $100. Could be that that is a picture of the new style jersey.

Anyway, I think the new uniforms are dog ugly but then I really like our uniforms and most people think they're dog ugly. What do I know?

Me too. The "Phoenix" in the western font looks nice, as does the Sun burst on the shorts. I like the current Suns uni's too, but I think they could use more orange (ie the road uniforms should have an orange stripe down the side instead of grey and the stripe should be thinner).
