Next gen could have lots of ala cart

This may be a preview of what is to come:

Killer instinct, the fighting game that hails from Nintendo 64 is coming out on xbox one for free

Itll have one fighter. You can then purchase other fighters.

So back on mortal combat when you paid full price and would never touch 2 or 3 of the fighters, now you can have a discount by just not buying the fighters you don’t want to use.

I haven’t seen it described for other games yet but it could get interesting if games start becoming ala cart.

Not sure if I like this. Will they at least give you the option to buy the game outright? I'll bet you'd end up spending $100+ ala cart.

Not to nitpick, but KI was a SNES title, not N64.

As long as the full price game includes all the fighters available, and going a la carte saves money, I could get behind this...who am I kidding? As if the game industry needed my approval! LOL

What I read is the full game would total $60.

But to get it free and spend 5 on the only guy I want to fight with is a steal!

I thought it was n64, I remembe rgetting t he console that xmas and having KI with it.
