As the Cleveland Browns trek further into NFL Free Agency, they are hosting a Northeast Ohio native and former Ohio State Buckeye for a visit. Linebacker Jerome Baker was in Berea on Thursday for a visit to his hometown team.

Baker, 28, signed with the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent a year ago before being traded to the Tennessee Titans at the NFL trade deadline. This was after spending six seasons with the Miami Dolphins, who drafted him in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft. This comes a day after they signed young offensive guard Teven Jenkins to a contract in free agency as well.

He now is on the free agency market again and is now giving the Browns an opportunity to show them what they've got in store. If the Browns were to be able to land Baker, they would quietly be making a dent in some holes in their roster ahead of the NFL draft.

Curiously, however, this could be bad news for linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who the Browns have been silent on since his season ended due to a neck injury against the Baltimore Ravens earlier in the 2024 season. We'll see how the question marks in the linebacker room continue to play themselves out.
