The Cleveland Browns have lost a key special teamer who even started games defensively for them over the last three years as safety D'Anthony Bell has signed with the Seattle Seahawks.

FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz was the first to report the news of Bell's signing in the Pacific Northwest as he joins the Seahawks on a one-year deal. Schultz has stated that Bell drew interest from multiple teams in NFL free agency ahead of signing with Seattle, but their reliance on three-safety sets gives him the best opportunity to see the field defensively and not just on special teams.

Over the last three years with the Browns, Bell started seven games after signing as an undrafted free agent after the 2022 NFL draft. In 2023, he racked up two interceptions and forced a fumble with four tackles for loss in four starts for the Browns. He now gets paired with the defensive-minded head coach Mike MacDonald who could look to get the most out of him on the defensive side of the ball.

He is the second safety to depart the Browns this offseason after they cut Juan Thornhill, who then signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Best of luck to Bell as he heads out west.
