Kene Nwangwu is heading back to the New York Jets.
According to reports including NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Nwangwu has re-signed with the team via a one-year deal. The contract is reportedly worth $2.5 million:
Nwangwu, 27, was previously named an All-Pro special teamer with the Minnesota Vikings in 2022.
Nwangwu has only played in New York last season. However, his limited playing time did see him make an impact.
Nwangwu appeared in two games. As a returner, he recorded a 99-year kickoff return for a score in Week 12 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Under new head coach Aaron Glenn, it's likely that Nwangwu gets another look as a return man in 2025.
Jets Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2025 offseason.
