Following the initial wave of NFL free agency, Marcus Mosher of The 33rd Team released a list of the nine worst signings of the offseason (so far).

Coming in at No. 5 on the list was safety Talanoa Hufanga signing a three-year deal with the Denver Broncos. Mosher listed the contract as $45 million with $20 million guaranteed (which was initially reported), but it's actually a little better at $39 million. The safety is getting $20 million guaranteed, which is admittedly high for an injury-prone player.

"ince that [2022] season, Hufanga has played just 17 games, missing time with serious injuries, including a torn ACL," Mosher wrote. "He’s not been durable, and his play style certainly impacts that. Denver wanted to get a more dynamic safety, and Hufanga is a playmaker. Still, he can be exposed in coverage and isn’t the most technically sound player."

Meanwhile, Mosher ranked ex-Broncos running back Javonte Williams going to the Dallas Cowboys as the ninth-worst signing in free agency. Fans can view the full list here.
