LA Rams free-agent wide receiver Cooper Kupp is reportedly signing with the Seattle Seahawks. Among the teams pursuing Kupp were the Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, and the New England Patriots, but not the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Jordan Schultz.

Kupp is joining the Seahawks on a three-year deal worth $45 million.

While Schultz would also say that there were a "variety of teams" in the sweepstakes for Kupp, which does the leave the door open to there being more than the teams mentioned above, this report comes on the heels of Schultz reporting on Thursday that the Jaguars were "not in" on signing Kupp.

For what those reasons were specifically, we do not know.

On paper, the fit between Kupp and the Jaguars made plenty of sense. Kupp and James Gladstone both come from the LA Rams organization, while Liam Coen also spent two years with the Rams and operates a similar offense as Sean McVay.

Kupp has dealt with injuries the last three seasons, playing in 32 out of a possible 51 games, but he has continued to produce when on the field, although, per ESPN's player tracking data, Kupp's rank in ability to get "open" has declined each season since 2021.

There were a variety of teams in the Cooper Kupp sweepstakes — including the Broncos, Saints, Packers and Patriots — but the Seahawks sold Kupp on a return home (he’s from Yakima, 3 hours away) and being a key focal point of a new-look offense with Sam Darnold. https://t.co/y1deFsRvh3
