While free agency is still taking place and there are many holes left on the Tennessee Titans roster to fill, it appears that all the talk surrounding them has turned back to what they are going to do at the top of the draft.
On his most recent podcast, NFL Insider Adam Schefter shared his thoughts.
"Based on their free agency decisions, most think that the Titans will be selecting Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick," he said. "If they wanted a veteran signal-caller, there were plenty available, but the team opted for a career backup instead."
This has become a common thread this offseason and it does appear to track with what has taken place in the early stages of free agency. Despite rumors speculating interest before the start of the signing period, the Titans haven’t been seriously linked to any veteran quarterbacks.
One of the most important nuggets he revealed also centered on the No. 1 overall selection.
"The Titans, so far, have not entertained any real offers," said Schefter.
There were many rumors surrounding this pick coming out at and days after the NFL Scouting Combine, yet those also seem to be more speculation than anything.
With the 2025 NFL draft a little over a month away, the Titans will be working on stacking their draft board, and it is becoming clearer by the day that Cam Ward likely sits on top.
