Amid speculation that they might trade up to draft a quarterback this year, the New England Patriots took a close look at a much less heralded QB prospect. The Patriots on Wednesday put Florida International product Alex McGough through a private workout in Miami, a source told Eric Edholm of Pro Football Weekly. Who is Alex McGough? He was a four-year starter at FIU who completed 65.4 percent of his passes as a senior in 2017. His 48 career touchdown passes (17 in 2017) are the most in program history.
