On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.
Yanni Gourde, C, TB vs. TOR (4% rostered)
Gourde finally lit the lamp Monday, his first goal since Dec. 30 when he was still a member of the Kraken. Despite the lack of goals, Gourde still has been more than solid since coming back to the Lightning at the trade deadline, posting 11 points in 16 games. His presence lengthens the Tampa Bay lineup, providing the team a solid third line center who can lock down top lines defensively behind Brayden Point and Anthony Cirelli.
Jakob Pelletier, C/LW, PHI @ NYR (0% rostered)
Pelletier has points in four of his last five games, notching a goal and three assists. This level of production came after Pelletier only had one assist in his prior 13 contests and two in 15 appearances as a Flyer. Pelletier's skating as Philly's third line right winger, which is likely where he fits moving forward with Bobby Brink and Travis Konecny in front of him on the team's depth chart. He has greatly benefitted from the head coaching change from John Tortorella to Brad Shaw.
Will Smith, C/LW, SJ @ MIN (12% rostered)
Smith potted a pair of goals Monday, continuing his recent hot stretch. The fourth overall selection in the 2023 NHL Draft has 17 points in his last 19 games. Smith's uptick in production has the 20-year-old forward up to 16 goals, 40 points and 118 shots on goal in 69 appearances this season. Smith and Macklin Celebrini's rookie campaigns provide a look into what should be a bright future for each skater and San Jose overall.
Blake Coleman, LW/RW, CGY @ ANA (32% rostered)
Stop me if this sounds familiar but Coleman has 30+ points again. Ignore the 54 points Coleman surprisingly tallied last season and he notched between 31 and 38 points each of the other six seasons. This season, Coleman has 15 goals and 20 assists for 35 points with five games remaining in Calgary's campaign, meaning he has a shot at - gasp - hitting the 40-point barrier for the second time in his career. Coleman is skating on the Flames' second line and has added to his value with 165 hits.
