On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

Kiefer Sherwood, LW/RW, VAN vs. MIN (43% rostered)

Not only will you get the NHL’s record holder for hits in a season, Sherwood’s offense has really picked up with a four-game points streak. It’s easy to forget that Sherwood was a scorer in the minor leagues – he was a second-team all-star with 75 points in 57 games in 2021-22 – before having to reinvent himself to stick in the NHL. The Wild are a big, physical team, which means Sherwood can add plenty of hits and some points as a multi-category contributor.

Andrei Kuzmenko, LW/RW, LA vs. COL (24% rostered)

The Avs will likely be without Nathan MacKinnon, which will hurt their possession game and perhaps open up more offensive opportunities for the Kings. Kuzmenko is coming off a three-assist performance against the Ducks, two of which were on the power play. He’s been excellent on offense lately, scoring three goals and seven assists in his past six games.

Kent Johnson, C/LW/RW, CBJ vs. WSH (19% rostered)

The Jackets will have last change in the first game of their home-and-home series. Johnson has scored seven assists in his past six games, and the Jackets may face third-string Hunter Shepard if Logan Thompson is not available and the Caps choose to save Charlie Lindgren for Sunday’s home game.

Charlie Coyle, C/RW, COL at LA (9% rostered)

The Avs are missing a ton of bodies up front, which has opened the door for Coyle to play increased minutes. He’s expected to play on the third line but he’s also been pushed up to PP1, which adds a lot of fantasy value. He’s scored a goal and six assists in his past four games, including two points on the power play.

Jackson Blake, RW, CAR vs. NYR (7% rostered)

The Canes have had no issues scoring against the Rangers this season with 11 goals in three games. Blake has pitched in with a goal and an assist, and even with Igor Shesterkin in net, the Rangers defense is porous enough the Canes will get plenty of chances. Blake will play L1 and PP1 with Sebastian Aho and Seth Jarvis.

Tyson Foerster, C/LW/RW, PHI vs. NYI (2% rostered)

This game should feature a lot of goals, and if you want the safer option, Matvei Michkov should be good. However, note Foerster has six goals in his past five games, including a hat trick against the Rangers. He’s got the hottest hand on the Flyers’ roster and will play L2 and PP1 with Michkov.

Filip Hronek, D, VAN vs. MIN (47% rostered)

We shall see if Quinn Hughes still continues to play the full two minutes on power plays, but at this juncture there really is no need for him to do so. Even without special teams, however, Hronek has been scoring with a goal and four assists in his past four games. He should see tons of minutes against a potentially tired Wild team.
