A press conference will be held at 3pm(ET) which can be viewed at nhl.com. The draft lottery outcome will be shown shortly after. Which new rules were approved by the Board of Governors have not been announced, and will possibly be announced in Gary Bettman's press conference.

Its official, hockey is back!

Wouldn't it be great if the team owned by Wayne Gretzky won the lottery and the chance to draft a guy in Sidney Crosby who's listed as "The Next Gretzky"?

Coyotes will have the #17 pick. Not what I was hoping for. :(

I really like the new logo, though. Good for the NHL.

Not much thought went into the new logo. Basically the old one with the NHL text a little different. How creative.

What about continuity of the branding that has been built up over the past 75+ years? What about a message of reaching out to the past while looking at the future.

I actually like it and I am glad that they went this route instead of some of the crap logos that are out there

It is simple and classy and good - like in life it is sometimes what you do not do that is most important
