Wow - There are ALOT of good young LB's available. How good would Barrett Rudd, Ryans, Thomas Howard, Kirk Morrison, or even Merriman look in Cardinal red? I might pay any of those guys more then I would Dansby. IMO of course.

Problem is it looks like almost all of them are Restricted Free Agents if no collective bargaining agreement is signed.

So wouldn't you not only have to pay them more money you'd also have to give up draft picks?

On the other hand only 3 organizations account for almost 40% of those 44 Super Bowl Championships. 8 franchises hold 31 of the 44 titles.

Ladies - Players with the Restricted tag are NOT touchable. It hasn't happened in the past 10 years where a restricted player gets nabbed by another team.

The list for players is few that we could make a run at....

Plus we will probably only be able to go after 1 big name and 1 medium player due to the 'Elite 8 status.'

I'd like to see the guard from Cinci, Rod Hood - yes that Rod Hood, and a decent ILB.

The LB free agency is dead.

I think it will be highly interesting to see how the Bucs handle this offseason if no new labor deal is in place.

They are owned by Malcolm Glazer, who also owns Manchester United in England. Him and his family are in serious financial trouble, which for instance means that Manchester United ows about a billion english pound, I think it is.

Even with the salary cap they were also one of the teams spending the least amount of money. Sime times they were actually dangeously close to being fined for not being over the salary floor.

Now I'm not saying that they won't re-sign Barrett Ruud. But I am saying that it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't, and I am saying that I could easily see them parting ways with both their second rounders in exchange for Boldin, if they saw it as cheaper to re-sign Boldin than paying to second round rookies.
