I knew the 2-0 start and subsequent fawning by the media was too good to be true. There were subtle indications in the first two games that this team was good, but not ready to contend for the division.

For all of the good press Kyler was getting, I saw a guy who’d had issues with seeing the field and going through his progressions. In addition, he cant throw an accurate ball on a drag route to save his life. Dude may be a dynamic playmaker, but there are issues at his natural position where he is flat out awful. This is not the transcendent talent people sold me on last season.

Also, the zone blitz isn’t going to work if you cant touch the QB. Far too often I saw major holes in the zone. Stafford was exposing it all game long.

I firmly believed that we were getting a little too hyped up about this team. I understand it was exciting to go 2-0, but the deficiencies were there.

I hope this team feels humbled today, because this loss took a lot of wind out of the sails.

I’d love for us to come out and crush Carolina next week . We needed a slice of humble pie, Detroit looked waaay more hungry

They looked like a team that had 11 straight losses and wanted to end that streak today. We acted like they were going to roll over and let us be 3-0. Hopefully the Cards will be hungry next Sunday.

The regression that needed to happen in my opinion. Almost the whole game I felt like we should be blowing them out, and yet turnover after turnover kept it close.

Buda is going to miss next week and Banjo is hurt. It may be time to dial up Earl Thomas for a one year deal. We need some nastiness on D.

They most definitely got caught reading their own press clippings. Next week and their response is gonna tell us a lot about this team.

Some may find it worrisome that they needed to be humbled after two wins but with the amount of fanboys and **** riding on social media these guys get it’s probably easy to get a big head. Carolina isn’t going to quit like the Jets.

EXACTLY, I thought to myself before the game started Detroit is going to come out strong and hungry to end that streak and I was right. We are the better team at the end of the day but we played awful and got served.

Budda is here long term, but our SS situation is bad. Simmons would be the ideal SS with his speed and range.

Thomas makes sense if Budda is going to miss time

Kyler was trying to win the MVP today and not the game... he can now get his objectives right after he sees what that got him :)

Too much standing around between snaps.

Being outfoxed by opposing play calling (i.e. Lion defender waiting in the weeds for Kyler to target Fitz).

etc.

Fitz said in his interview earlier that this team has not faced any adversity yet. Once a team faces adversity, you will see the character of the locker room and team. Hopefully we will see them rebound against the Panthers.

I agree about the adversity. But, I'll take a different approach here for once with Fitz. Get pissed. Stop with the BS nice guy stuff..which he is of course... But, let it loose man. I know this guy buries his emotions at times. I'd love to just hear some harsh criticisms from him or something to light some fires as he gets older. Lol. Ya know....get all crotchety with age like we all do. :)

Yes, we need to see a crotchety Fitz, lol.

Murray kneeling behind the O line trying to make throws or just on the sidelines? Or is he just that short?

If they don’t win by double digits in Carolina I will be so disappointed by this team.
