PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers took another loss on Friday night as they fell to the Indiana Pacers 112-100. The Sixers have lost three in a row and are sitting at 22-44 as they get set to embark on a 6-game road trip beginning on Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Sixers were short-handed once again as Paul George and Tyrese Maxey remain sidelined with injuries. Philadelphia only had seven players available against the Pacers as it continues through what has been a miserable season thus far.

One has to wonder about Maxey as the Sixers get set to begin the trip. He has not played since a March 3 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers due to a lower back sprain and a finger sprain, but coach Nick Nurse offered up an encouraging update after the loss to the Pacers.

"He should get into this trip at some point," said Nurse. "I don't think he'll make the next one, but maybe after that, we can see where he's at."

After Philadelphia faces the Mavericks on Sunday, it will face the Houston Rockets on Monday before trips to Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Atlanta, and New Orleans. One has to wonder if Maxey can make his return at some point on this upcoming trip.
