I recently watched this one. I was expecting it to be pretty cheesy judging from the previews I saw. However, I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised and actually was quite entertained. Great movie for the family.

I hadn't realized that this did over $250 million at the box office in the US. Wow. Good enough for #40 of all-time.

Owen Wilson's roll as Jedediah was just supposed to be a cameo, but his character tested so well with the audience, they brought him back in and wrote him into some more scenes and gave him a bigger part. He wasn't going to be credited either way.

I watched it the first time and didn't think much of it. Watched it a second time with a bunch of kids an thoroughly enjoyed it. Something about an 8-year-old boy's laughter that makes potty humor funny, I guess.

Exactly. My 7 year-old thought the monkey was hilarious, and was a little scared by the t-rex.
