COLUMBIA — Nixa basketball will attempt to reach its second state championship game in the last four years when it attempts to get past top-ranked Oak Park in a Missouri Class 6 state semifinal.
Nixa and Oak Park will meet at Mizzou Arena at noon on Wednesday at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.
Oak Park has been considered the top team in the state for the majority of the 2024-25 season. The Northmen are undefeated in Missouri competition and feature a talented backcourt of seniors Corbin Allen and Caleb Estes.
Nixa brings in a 13-game winning streak behind the fantastic play of Jaise Combs and Adam McKnight. Combs delivered the Springfield area one of its most memorable shots in recent years by hitting a 3 right before the horn to beat Kickapoo in a district championship win.
