Could have been worse - way to work out of it without additional damage

Can touch the Phillies and get those back, but need to settle down

So far half of our lineup has a combined 5 hits in the entire series. You’re not going to win much with that ineptitude. Phillies can’t be held down that long. Serious look at the batting approach for next year.

And Smith gets another hit just shows he should’ve been in the starting lineup over fam who looks like he’s toast for the season

Marte and Carroll are the only clutch guys we have. Everyone else turtles. Walker, Pham, Gurriel middle of the order all trying to hit a 857ft HR or watch strikes go by.

Absolutely floored that we didn't pitch hit Thomas there with Longoria useless against righties

It really does look like the moment is tough for some of these guys - rough body language, lack of confidence/feeling pressure on defense, a lot of odd check swings or just poking the bat into the zone on strikes

Just not a lot of swagger or confidence

Like how Thompson has settled in though

OK answer backS. You’ve done this before three innings to make this up.

His body language is terrible. Just swinging as hard as he can at everything and then shuffling to the dugout
The thing I do not like about Walker at the plate is he tries to hit everything 800ft even with two strikes. He cannot hit upper velocity anymore as his swing has a slight hitch to it and can’t catch up. Moreno is the poster boy for what a two strike approach should look like. I have issues with the way we look at two many strikes or get in negative counts too many times.

Honestly, I have not seen anything to lead me to believe that will happen. And I never give up. I just don't see it. Jeez, I hate typing this.

We desperately need a 3b that can hit, along with an another OF. Gurriel way to streaky mostly in the wrong direction. Same with Pham, just looks like he is trying to guess pitches too many times
