I don't know enough about NMSU football but I was a bit surprised that UNM is only 6.5 favs over the Aggies regardless of the game being in Las Cruces. I think the Lobos roll.

Sometimes its hard to say with these in state rivalry games. Its really hard to gauge NMSU this early being that they play the big boys for money (cal and razorbacks). They did beat troy last week. I don't know to much about troy.

I know that nmsu plays an out of date offense that Samuels brought from Nebraska several years ago.

The Lobo D is a lot faster than they have been in the past and they have feilded some pretty good Ds in the past 5 or so years.

The lobo starting qb got knocked out with a concussion last week at OSU so that may be why the line is so close. I think the lobos roll also.

Lobos are +10 against Utah. What is the deal with that spread NM? Lobos QB out or something?

MWC news:

Less of Moore

New Mexico could be without star running back DonTrell Moore when it hosts No.14 Utah.

Moore hurt his knee in a win over New Mexico State on Saturday, and it was originally believed he tore his MCL. Moore, who set the Mountain West career rushing record the week before, was diagnosed with a bone bruise and strained MCL, coach Rocky Long said.

If Moore can't play Friday, senior D.D. Cox and Adrian Byrd will take his place.

"We lose something whenever you lose a player the caliber of DonTrell but we have some decent backups," Long said

UNM may be the last real obstacle between Utah and an undefeated season. They get CSU and BYU at home and beyond that the schedule isn't very daunting IMO.

Big game tonight on espn. Lobos vs Utes. Lobos usally have a letdown while playing on national tv but we will see. If the lobos want to win they will have to keep the ute qb in the pocket. the lobo D is pretty rested from last weeks game they ought to be really flying around tonight.

Well the national tv bug hit again.

The D tried to stay in it but they had NO support from the O. Sounds like a cards game huh. Props to Utah they are a very sound team. I kind of want them to win out the rest of the season so the can get a BCS game. That would be great for the mountain west conferance. The fiesta bowl really wants them I guess the distance and the morman connection would be ideal.

28-7 Utah
