Gonzaga coach Mark Few entered this season excited about the pieces he had to work with. Kyle Wiltjer scored 17 points, Eric McClellan added 15 and Gonzaga held off No. 18 Connecticut 73-70 Friday in the third-place game. UConn's Rodney Purvis had a chance to tie the game but missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
