Gotta give props to Brad Halsey for his dominating performance.... best pitching performance by a D'backs pitcher whose initials are not RJ or CS in a long time.

The Johnson deal is going to be a steal if this guy turns out a few more of those performances

Right now Webb and Halsey are looking like the two best starters on our staff. Estes probably 3rd best.

Imagine if our #1 and #2 pick it up. And if Lyon can grow into a solid closer.

With our killer lineup and solid bench, great things could happen for the D'backs.

It's nice seeing a young D-Back pitcher that can throw strikes, especially a lefty. If Halsey can keep the ball over the plate and keeps up his rapid development, I could easily see him becoming at the very least a Kirk Reuter-type middle rotation rock for a long time.

Halsey made very impressive debut... much poise and quiet confidence, not to mention getting ahead of the hitters consistently and demonstrating excellent ball control. Of course it was only against Todd Helton & supporting cast of unknowns, but should he continue the same pattern against the better teams, we could be in for a surprisingly great ride.
