I listened to Mike & Mike from 7:10 this morning until 8:30 and the only time the Cardinals were mentioned was when they broke to the local station.

I know I'm a homer, but... seriously???

Not crazy about Dan patrick in the mornings either. Are there any local sports talk radio shows on?

Honestly I think they aren't getting much love because they were expected to win this game and even though they are 4-0 this game for once wasn't a shock. Not to mention the east coast bias that has espn and nfl network talking about the Jets for like 40 minutes an hour.

They talked about them when I was on the road between 5 and 7 this morning. They went through and talked about the 3 remaining unbeatens.

Peter King is a mixed bag of love:

5. Arizona (4-0). I hate to drop the Cards down here. It's probably not fair. I just don't think they could beat the Niners or Ravens on a neutral field right now. Too generous to the Miami passing game. But it's admirable that the Cards had enough left to win game that was tougher than it should have been in overtime Sunday.

The Award Section
Offensive Players of the Week
Kevin Kolb, QB, Arizona. For dealing with the adversity of an eight-sack afternoon, for coming from 13 points down, for going 29 of 48 for 324 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions, and for getting the Cards to 4-0. The play I liked most: With Arizona down 21-14 with 29 seconds left in the fourth quarter, on 4th-and-10 from the Miami 15, Kolb zipped a pass to the right for Andre Roberts, who toe-tapped inside the pylon for his second touchdown of the quarter, forcing overtime. A Jay Feely field goal won it in overtime.

We win off a last second FG & it is a weakness. Alanta wins off a Hail Mary & a last second FG and they are 2nd best in the league

They got a lot of love on Sportscenter. I don't care who loves em, I love em and I love being 4-0.

From NFL.com "What we learned on Sunday" column:

Opening sentence -
While the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans remained unbeaten, the Minnesota Vikings continued on their surprising start to the 2012 season.
That's a pretty significant oversight, in my opinion...

At the very end of the article as the last game to be summarized, they first highlight Miami's accomplishments...
» There's hope in Miami after Ryan Tannehill set a team record for single-game passing yardage by a rookie. The Dolphins quarterback was 26-of-41 for 431 yards, eclipsing Dan Marino's 1983 mark. He wasn't even the story of the day, as receiver Brian Hartline shattered a franchise record with 12 catches for 253 yards.

» Should we have seen these Cardiac Cards coming from a mile away? They've won 11 of 13 going back to November. Kevin Kolb is 4-0 after serving as a long-standing joke in August, proving the experts don't know a thing.

» Arizona's running game has issues and sputtered behind a pair of unremarkable right tackles in D'Anthony Batiste and Bobby Massie.

» Miami's defensive line is underrated. The Dolphins' behemoths got to Kolb on a string of drive-crushing sacks in the second half, all on third down.

» Safety Kerry Rhodes continues to make big-time plays for the Cardinals. His interception of a Tannehill floater in overtime helped seal this game.

:offtopic: Also of note in the details of the article:
Vontaze Burfict led the Bengals in tackles, had a sack, a pass defensed, and two tackles for loss. Not bad for a kid that didn't get drafted.

we are the arizona "dangerfields" no respect at all, even if we pitched shutouts in the next 3 games and racked up 40 or 50 points in each win they would still be like

"yeah but thats the cardinals" lets talk about when the pack can get back to 500, what do you think jaws"

personally i don't give a ****, let the rest of the nfl and the pun-dents keep overlooking us

Let's all chip in and get our own local AM show on the radio. We got stat-heads, die-hards, long timers (lifers), college grads, real Urbans, the best and smartest female fans around, we got writers and half assed comedians. We can get a show!!

Great point Rugby. Atlanta had much more luck involved but they call it poise. A chuck and pray to Roddy into double coverage gets all the press.

Yeah, local sports radio sucks in the morning, especially since everything before noon is on a tape delay. By the time we hear "breaking news" on Mike and Mike, it's already old news in AZ.

Dan Patrick is great...and he likes the Cards...Seems to have Whis, Fitz, Dock, etc., on his show several times a year.
