NBC decided to air the Colts-Chargers on that day (Nov 23). To add insult to injury, Fox moved the Falcons/Panthers game into the late-day time slot with the Giants/Cardinals. So now our game will obviously be shown in fewer households across the nation.

We may not even be the national afternoon game anymore, at this rate.

I'm actually glad they didn't move it to the night game. Already have my plane tix and hotels booked. Would cost a bundle to change it all.

If its not the featured game, oh well, won't matter, I'll be there:D

This is not an insult, it was reported that Fox "locked" in the game, not allowing NBC to pull it into the SNF schedule. If anything this is more validation that Fox doesn't want to give up the ratings this game will generate.

I was assuming this was true, but why would they move another high profile game into our timeslot? If we were so coveted, why aren't they showing this game on the largest scale possible?

I am more curious about this move than anything. Not really upset, because I'll be at that game regardless of when it is played.

Wild guess here, but just playing the odds. First, if the Cards have problems this week or next, the game becomes less compelling, but the bigger one is...Second, they may believe that teams from the west and northeast won't draw well through the south, so they've moved a couple of southern teams into the mix.

Because there are a lot of televisions in Atlanta and Charlotte that would be more likely to be tuned in if the game is on at 4pm than 1 pm.

Because of playoff implications, Panthers/Falcons is a MUCH more interesting game. The Cards and Giants are both practically guaranteed playoff berths. Panthers and Falcons aren't.
