For xbone:

Volgarr the Viking, the newest ID@Xbox game, will debut on Xbox One as a free download. For Xbox One gamers, this is a journey back to the days of yore, when times were tougher, and you really only needed a couple buttons to play a game.

Love those kinds of games, looking forward to it.

For xbox 360:

On Xbox 360, starting Saturday, November 1st, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise ($14.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through November 15th.

Then on November 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Red Faction: Guerrilla ($19.99 ERP) for free through November 30th​

viva pinata games are a lot of fun for the kids, dont know much about red faction but ill give it a try.

Volgarr is harddddddd

Reminds me of playing paperboy where you basically play the same level 50 times before you beat it. I made it to the level one boss last night but by the time I got there I was pretty much dead. Once I have another half hour to put in hopefully I can beat that level.

I did beat level one in the next 30 min session and man was it satisfying

In the second section when you hit two of those flowers on a row, after killing the second flower do a roll move into the hole and it digs ground out and gets you a special armor.

Holding b and chucking your spear seems to be the best way to handle the red demons

beat level one again when i finally played again, once you get it its not as hard. Level 2 I have read is by far the hardest level of the game and man am I having a hell of a ride with it. Cant wait to beat it

I ended up beating Volgarr with the 'C' ending. I didn't bother going back to replay it through the alternate paths to try to get a better ending. It was fun, but also frustrating. The bosses all have a pattern that they repeat endlessly so once you figure out the pattern then it's simple. The problem is that once you die against a boss you have to completely restart the entire level.

frustrating but beating it is fulfilling so far.

Once I complete the final boss once, I'll likely be forever done but I must get there if I can put down my other games.

Once you get to the final boss, they give you a full equipment upgrade and you walk into the boss battle... so at least you don't have to keep replaying an entire level over and over.
