These things are literally throwing darts against the wall aren't they? I mean, I've seen Allen go as high as #1. Here they have Vea going #25 and I've seen some with him going top 10 or 15.

I hope no
I dont trust this guy much
Actually we saw him making great throws at combine and automatically is now considered a dont miss pIck
In the other hand a player like Lamar Jackson after a couple of bad throws at combine falling in the draftboard
Its like evaluating an actor for 1 min advertisment instead of his filmography

Nothing surprises me in the draft, not after these teams wring their hands and overanalyze each player. A month before the 2006 draft, if you said Leinart was going outside of the #3 pick, it would have elicited laughter, but he went at 10. Aaron Rodgers was almost the 1st pick before he was the 24th.

what`s the saying "paralysis by analysis".Seems to be what most are doing now.I think the real question should be " Can this player help this team raise its level of play and be a contributor in the league".

I hope not, they can have him... I have nothing to do with him and his Derek Anderson/ John Skelton arm

But why? He`s got a cannon arm and Pro size.....it doesn`t seem to matter he has more accuracy issues than Lamar Jackson and lacks the mobility of Jackson. But he`s supposed to be safer choice.Yeah right.

It is because he has a chance of actually being a good NFL QB. Lamar Jackson doesn't

And whoever wrote that garbage should be fired. Four out of the first five picks will be quarterbacks. The end.

These things are crazy though. As I said, some have Allen top 5, some have Mayfield, Darnold, or Rosen dropping to 15. It's insane.

ProFootballTalk-Josh Allen has been working with former QB Jordan Palmer to improve his footwork which will improve his accuracy.Today in PFT.

I do not see Barkley going #5. I think Cleveland picks him if available at #1 or #4 unless they trade out of the pick.

If Allen does drop I would have no problems if the Cards take him. Remember Joe Flaco went #18 and Ben Roesthlisberger went #11.

The only QB i hope the Cards stay away from is Baker Mayfield. You can`t coach up height and i don`t think he can make all the NFL throws needed.
All the other QBs have some flaws but coaching can help improve technique, footwork, reading defenses etc.

+1

While the accuracy issues worry me, I wouldn't at all mind taking a shot on the kid--even trading up a few picks to do so, if it isn't expensive (say a 3rd rounder). 1st round contracts are no longer cost-prohibitive, so if he doesn't work out, it doesn't kill us for years. And, considering how poor we've been drafting in the 1st, it's not like Keim is likely to hit on a pick otherwise.

Maybe. They could easily go with Chubb and solidify that defensive line.
Plenty of good backs will be available at the top of the 2nd round who will pair nicely with Duke.

It's not his stance or footwork, it's his freaking arm which makes him inaccurate. I seriously doubt anyone can fix that. I will say now Lamar Jackson is twice the prospect he is and that is not to say Jackson is a lock to be a success. Allen has a really strong arm and has a connection to the success of Wentz, that is all. I would not be surprised if he drops into the second and I hope we are not the morons who select him

lol... his are the most accurate... but unfortunately he usually doesnt release them until everyone is on the plane to the draft party.

Exactly. I don’t care to read Kiper’s Mock Draft v.19.0
