Whether it should be held against him or not it will impact where he is taken. The guy has a cannon arm. If he fell to us I would still take him. Wouldn't trade up for him though.

John Skelton, Derek Anderson, JaMarcus Russell... cannon arm :)

I am not a Josh Allen defender but clearly this crap coming out about something tweeted years ago is clearly another attempt to devalue a prospect.Have there been any incidents with Allen and any of his college teammates? None that i have heard of.Not a peep about him not getting along with teammates of any color.I take it with a grain of salt.So he said something silly when he was a high school kid.Big deal.

Supposedly he admitted those were his tweets. You can say he’s a changed man and he may very well be a changed man but there will be fans who will not forgive him and even worse, future teammates. Obviously we don’t know where he is going but will his teammates accept him, remember the Riley Cooper backlash.

He admitted he tweeted those years ago and i have never read or heard of any problems with him getting along with any fellow team members. So i don`t get too worried about it.Some might not like him or forgive him but some will realize it was said years ago by a high School kid.

Did you suddenly become a leader of men when you turned 21? Were you suddenly a learned person who was hugely removed from five years before, and the kind of things you'd put out publicly? This is an issue that will probably cost him millions of dollars.

When I came out of ASU 10 years ago, I had things written, or pictures posted, that were much more mild than this, and I had to learn the hard lesson that I couldn't get a full time job because of my social media presence, much less be the face of an NFL franchise. This is a lot worse, in the current environment, where a Northwest white guy is gonna struggle to inspire the teammates that are older around him, much less much more socially active younger people of color.

This is a significant incident.

But, the LeBron thing is stupid. Yahoo is falling apart at the seams on all levels. You still can't hide these tweets as being a legitimate issue.

At 21 no. At 22 yes I literally was a leader of men in the military. And I have to say I was 100% a different person than I was in high school. So you made a solid point. I’ll give the kid the benefit of the doubt.

Riley Cooper wasn't a 15 year old high school kid...I wouldn't say Allen is a changed man...I'd say he's grown up and become a man and thus, what he did/said/tweeted in high school did not continue into adulthood and college.

a) did you watch the clip from Modern Family? That's not the quote. There's nothing in that clip with "why you so white".

b) and they just all happen to be offensive?

that's context in of itself.
I did watch the clip and it's obvious that's where Allen got it. As for the all the tweets, I'd like to see what the conversations were about, not random tweets taken out of context. I can just as easily imagine that he's trying to talk "cool" by using rap music vernacular.

Echoing what @BuckyBrooks just said on air: Whoever tried to firebomb Josh Allen’s stock made the mistake of doing it too early. Laremy Tunsil tumbled because that video hit right before the draft. Allen’s people have time to do damage control.

I don't want him as my QB for football reasons, but I'm with you on this one. I was a ******* when I was 14-16, and still somewhat of a ******* until I finished college. I grew up listening to NWA, Pac and Biggie, and if twitter was around then, I might have tweeted out some of those lyrics. Having said that, Allen is still a ******* for keeping his old account from when he was in high school. Should have known better.

My lord... the way some
People will contort themselves to defend racism is just galling.

Tell me... how is it obvious that’s where he got it from? You’re acting like Modern Family made up the term “White is right.”

What in his post refers in any way shape or form to Modern Family for you to say it’s obvious that’s where he got I.T from?

Dose of reality: Allen isn't dropping - he's the same guy (good points and bad).

It's Yahoo and other dudes who are changing their minds.
I posted the above prior to Allen's social media dustup.

At the very least, it merits further scrutiny - i.e. based on what we know (& that includes ancient tweets) what do we got? Personally, I'm not impressed.

And the way some people want to see racism where it's not is just as galling. All I'm saying is it would be nice to have some context before we brand and vilify this guy for what he said when he was 14/15 years old.

Some people said they did a special on him and it showed that he grew up in a racially diverse situation where whites were actually the minority. So, isn't it "possible" that this stuff is just how they all talked to each other? "*****" and "******" aren't the same thing.

Charles Robinson (@CharlesRobinson) tweeted at 3:22 PM on Thu, Apr 26, 2018:
Three personnel sources have told Yahoo Sports that representatives for Josh Allen reached out to #NFL teams this afternoon to quell concerns about his tweets. One of the sources framed the communication as "contrition" and "explanation" as Allen's camp attempted damage control.

I must have missed the episode where they said “beaniboi ******,” too.

Everyone who stupidly used that word in HS should be labeled a lifetime homophobe amirite?

Don’t forget...And repeatedly dropped n-bombs and says “white is right!”

The gay slur didn’t happen in a vacuum.

But it’s REALLY interesting to me how many here a quick to say “boys will be boys” in the face of racism, yet puke their guts out all the board any time Kaepernick’s name is mentioned or kneeling players are brought up.

I’m going to give Allen the benefit of the doubt because he was a 15 - 16 year old kid and obviously none of that has carried through to who he is now or else we’d know all about it. I also think Kap should still be in the league and I’d be happy to have him on the Cards.

Again, my point was how will his future teammates feel? Had this come out earlier how would his college teammates have responded?

Every year the NFL has one or two "Tunsil moments."

Question regarding Allen's tweet is: "Was it a brief youthful case of terminal dummass? Or does it reflect a character flaw he's trying to cover up now?

That's for the scouts to figure out.

the tweets are not in fact an issue.

all the tweets were movie, tv show, and musical lyric quotes....tweeted out as a bunch of young kids were joking around.

whats the current phrase?? Nothing burger?

it aint squat...he is still going to be a top ten pick because all the nfl people who vetted him agree he is a good kid,...and this is the biggest knock they could find other than his completion percentage and its from high school
