Emmitt's longest run last year was only 30 yards....
Lowest ypc of his career at 3.8...

Hambrick started 11 games in 2001, and pulled a 5.1 average. Something a little 'disruptive' must have happened in that offseason to get Emmitt back to start all 16 games in 2002??

The Hambrick brothers (both former University of South Carolina Gamecocks) are not character guys. Troy was kicked out of USC by Lou Holtz, which was very surprising considering how good he was.

Darren got in trouble with the Panthers, when he told the team that he hadn't received a bonus check, and when they sent him a new check, he cashed TWO checks. He was subsequently cut and ended up in Cleveland since he is also a very talented player.

From what I have heard, the Cowboys don't like Troy Hambrick much from a character standpoint, since he is known to be a whiner and a guy that doesn't work hard. I hate guys like the Hambrick brothers, because they have soooo much talent, yet they don't play up to it.

It also surprising considering that if he is that talented Holtz usually puts up with a lot from players like that to keep them in school.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The guy he brought in to replace Troy, Derek Watson, was a very troubled, yet extremely talented player. Holtz went as far as saying that Watson was the best back he had every HAD (which includes the likes of Ricky Watters and Jerome Bettis). It might be a case of Holtz wanting to use HIS guy (Watson) but you are right something is very troubling about Troy.

Watson was later kicked out of USC and went to South Carolina State (a black college) and was kicked out of there. Watson is in the draft, and could be a steal as a late rounder or rookie free agent. If the Cards got him as a UDFA, I would be stoked....he is far more talented than Shipp (physically) but troubled...
