Monday, June 4, 2018 EAST RUTHERFORD— Perhaps the best part of Pat Shurmur's coaching tenure thus far with the New York Giants: lines of communication he has developed with his players. His approach from the outset seems rather simple, but the opposite is what led Ben McAdoo down a road of disconnect on the way to his firing during last season's debacle. Shurmur has the respect of the locker room to this point because he has worked from jump at earning it. He spoke with numerous players, including Odell Beckham Jr., back in February and March even before he was allowed to talk about football with his team.
