O-Dog finds a new home in Minnesota

Free agent Orlando Hudson will make a deep second base pool in the American League even deeper after agreeing to a one-year deal with the Minnesota Twins.

Hudson went from free agent find to rider of the pine over the course of the 2009 season, but he's getting a fresh start in Minnesota, where he'll prevent the Twins from having to play Nick Punto everyday. The switch-hitting Hudson had a .357 on-base percentage last year with the Dodgers, so he could wind up as the No. 2 hitter behind Denard Span and in front of the power bats of Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau.

Well if O is trying to field ground balls at the Metro Dome he'll be out of a job pretty quick.. The Twins will be playing at Target Field..

Why does O-dog have to switch teams every year. All the guy does is hit .280+ and win Gold Gloves? Doesn't add up.

The D'backs, out of desperation, tried to turn him into a #3 hitter, which wasn't fair to him.

It took them a year to realize that they had one button-holed lower in the lineup. Then Justin Upton instantly became an all-star.

I never did figure out why Hudson became a persona non grata with the Dodgers. They had good hitters around him in the lineup.

With O-dog batting second with the Twinkies, he should have a solid year at bat. And, of course, in the field. And in the clubhouse. And with the Press.
