What could we potentially expect to get in regards to compensation within next years draft (2004)?

We lost:

David Boston
Jake Plummer
Frank Sanders

(others)...

Anybody got any guesses?

We also need to see who we signed instead as well.

Foster
Blake
Someone we cut??

So we sould see some 3 or 4s and a 6 or 7

We didn't sign Foster, we traded for him, so it shouldn't count against us.

We also signed Smith (who hasn't done much) and Hodgins (who has been a solid starter).

That said, I have no idea what goes on when they decide draft pick compensation.

From what I heard on this topic from last season..they kind of do an offset - they take who you signed from other teams versus who you lost off of your teams. Players like Emmitt and Hodgins are not part of the formula - as they were cut by their teams (they were under contract) - only applies to players who went into the offseason as unrestricted free agents. So..we lost:

David Boston
Jake Plummer
Frank Sanders
Kwamie Lassiter

We signed :
Dexter Jackson
Jeff Blake
James Darling

So...in the eyes of statistics only - plummer and boston had good years...sanders did nothing and lassiter did very little. On the offset of who we signed..jackson and blake had ok years.

I speculate it will be a 4th round pick - it is always less than you think it should be.

I am almost positive that it has to do with this Contract they signed not the production they had this year.

IT has to do with both their production and the contract they signed.
