Draft Man
Jared Veldheer- To me he is playing at a pro-bowl level. He's been outstanding in both pass and run blocking. He didn't get beat at all against the bears. Grade A
Jonathan Cooper- Only Veldheer has played better on the line so far. Cooper has been solid in both pass and run blocking. Its really nice to see him playing well and becoming the player we all hoped he would become when he was drafted. I know it's only two games, but he sure looks solid at RG. He was beat only once in the Bears game. Grade A-
Earl Watford- He was beat four times against the Saints, but only once against the Bears so he is improving in his pass protection. He has been a solid run blocker whether moving his man at the line or getting to the second level. If he continues to improve week to week he just may take the RT job from Bobby Massie. That is if the Cards don't make a change this week. It looks like Steve Keim knew what he was doing drafting him in the fourth round as he can play both guard and tackle well. Grade-B
Ted Larsen- He has played better than I thought he would. Better as a run blocker, but not bad as a pass blocker either. Still it will be nice to have Iupati back at LG. Larsen was beat twice against the Bears with both being pressures on Palmer. I think Larsen is a solid backup guard/center for us. Grade C
Lyle Sendlein-I think he did better this week against the Bears. He's a smart but limited player. He positions himself well and knows the offense, but gets pushed around too much. Grade C
