These threads seem to be helping. So...

It has always seemed to me that when we are on national TV, we disproportionately tend to screw up royally, play bad ball, and lose. So tomorrow evening, RJ will doubtless look all of 40 years old and reach 100 pitches in 5 innings while Zambrano will have 50 at most, Danny's streak will end, Sexson will strike out every at bat, Gonzo's elbow will blow, and the Bullpen will walk in the winning run. ;)

Other than that....

We need to get Hillenbrand back in there. We miss his glove
Zambrano may switch to pitching lefty just to get Hilly's glove in the lineup

I bet I attended the last game the Dbacks won that was broadcasted on ESPN...

Here's the only link regarding that game that I could find....

I hate ESPN anyways, so I should start an Anti ESPN Rant thread on a future date! :)

I was about to say something about the incredible value of this thread - all these threads - but realized Choke was still on the mound, and the fans were booing. What the hell is he doing pitching the Ninth??

SHUTTING THEM DOWN!!!!!
Well, shutting them down on the scoreboard, but you can't be a successful relief pitcher and allow 4 baserunners in 2 innings.

Got to watch the game last night and it reminded me why I liked Chad Tracy. I thought he looked awfully good when I saw him play in spring training. I was disappointed he didn't make the team.

Gotta love the way Brenly lets the kids play. He never has any problems just throwing them in once he gets them. And they respond!

Great anti EXPN jinx BTW.

When I think ESPN jinx I remember the game against the Dodgers in 2001 or 2002 where they lost in the bottom of the 9th when Sabel ?? hit the batter with the bases loaded. That's the way the D-Backs usually seem to play on ESPN.

OK, we're on the big tube again this evening, so time to crank it up here.

The way we've been playing I assume we will have sequential errors by Trace, Alex, Kata, Hillenbrand, and Hammock. In the first inning. :p
The HP umpire won't like knuckleballers. Phils will hit everything down the left-field line. We will leave the bases loaded three times. Bullpen will be in meltdown mode.

I was at lastnites game (even was on the jumbotron because my section/row was among those featured in that Jiffy Lube race contest) and I thought I'd continue to reverse the Dbacks trend on ESPN, however, I guess I jinxed them myself! :D

Anybody think we're not going to suffer the most humiliating meltdown of the season (and that is saying something) with Fossum vs. Ishii on national TV tonight? Ishii routinely rolls and pleats us.

I only hope we don't go out there looking utterly demoralized again. Play with some heart and brains, dammit! Make them take it from you, don't just hand it over.

Tired of ugly baseball.

I'm looking forward to seeing Fossum pitch.

Hey - don't throw things at me. Fossum was once the top prospect in the Red Sox system. They refused to give him up for Bartolo Colon last year. Expos wanted Fossum to give them Colon.

So I want to see how he looks. Was he just hyped or is it a question of injury and he needs to get his timing/mechanics back together.
