Who? Golden? You want to risk Juke, DJ, CJ, Smoke, Fire?

I dont play the risk card. Every player is at risk every time they go on the field.

I also would not promote a guy to the roster just to do KR as 90% of kickoffs are not returned anyway. Waste of a roster spot.

Juke, DJ, CJ would not get a shot. It will be a WR.

Very disappointed in this. Cardinals don't value big hitters and tacklers. This kid is by far one of the best 53 players on the roster. For all the shabby tackling we've had to endure over the past few years this kid was a breath of fresh air.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. Surprised Williams was cut before Grice was.

I'm sorry but I think BA and SK made a huge mistake dropping KW. Really, I think it was dumb. I am not understanding what they are doing this year. They are all over the place and honestly not liking it.

He's the 5th RB at best.

Ellington
CJ
DJ
Taylor, who will double as the FB / H-B this year in Hughes' absence.

I agree Williams is better than Grice, but really it's the 5th string HB position.

Maybe they can get KW to the PS. Special teams play counts a bunch if you can't break into the top 3 RB's.

Some are even posting on Twitter that Harold Jones-Quartey big hitter to join Cardinals PS if the clears waivers following strong pre-season. Might as well put a freaking neon sign on him for other teams to see. This kid earned a roster spot---he put it all on the line. You don't cut players like that. Keeping players like this sets a tone and makes a statement.

Quartet is too raw, IMO and should make it to PS. If it came down to him and, say, Cariel Brooks, I'd want Brooks.

Did you see his game versus the Broncos? Textbook. Don't blame the TD bomb on him, someone on the backside blew that coverage. His forced the run with suddenness, delivered perfect tackles and covered over the top with excellent pursuit angles. I am not kidding. He was near picture perfect in this game, technique, scheme and instincts-wise. Did you see the one time he blitzed? Reminded me of A-Dub.

Brandon Ghee released by Bengals. Press corner with good length could be a possibility.

Good call. Ghee has solid size and cover ability, as you say---the knock on him is not being strong enough on STs, which for a backup CB is tough, roster-wise.

Nick Novack cut by the Chargers. They kept the rookie from Texas A&M, who was great against us. Insurance for the Cat man? If Cat struggles in the opener, we'll sign a vet and not have to guarantee his salary.

How can anyone be surprised about Kerwin Williams? We have Chris Johnson Andre Ellington and David Johnson all playing running back we don't need a fourth one and you have Stephan Taylor to boot who will probably fill the fullback roll or what little one we have. I like Kerwin Williams too but just no room on the roster for him.. Sometimes you just lose the numbers game

I'm disappointed too. I thought he did great. :bang:

Jones-Quartay will be a great PS addition and would be brought up in case of an injury. It's tough though. We're probably keeping 4 safeties, and all four we have are terrific. Our deepest position group.

Especially Bucannon, who is mercilessly being played out of position because we can't keep an ILB on the field, but he would be one of the baddest SS in the league if he ever gets to go back to his own position.
