Official Grace/Sutton Appreciation Thread

no more complaining about Sutton, because im up in Colorado and i caught yesterdays Dbacks Rockies spring training game on tv and the Colorado guys are TERRIBLE. same with some other around the league i have heard. we have the best hands down.

After listening to a few broadcast, you've decided we have the best? I like Grace a lot, but Sutton, why is he always yelling? Its like he's trying to make up for a small vocabulary and inability to express his feelings by shouting. On a Tuesday game in the middle of the season against Pittsburgh, there's no need to yell about a Stephen Drew double. His enthusiasm seems so fake and forced, I think thats what I dislike about him.

Even though Brenneman came off as a bit of an arrogant a$$, I think he was much better overall.

Sutton and Grace are definitly two of the best announcers in the league. I also like George Grande from the Reds. There are a lot of other good ones out there but I totally agree that Sutton and Grace could be the best.

white sox- put it on the board yes is cool, but they seem lost other than that.

and yes sutton does yell, but i think its genuine. the guy loves his job, and he just likes to antagonize grace. the back and forth between those two seems genuine, where as other broadcasts seem forced like on espn when the guys try to joke with each other. grace and sutton make the games even more fun to watch.

Go to a board thats a non D'backs board, and watch people who are non AZ fans mock Sutton all day long as they listen in on MLB TV. He's pretty terrible, but to each his own I guess.

Exactly. And Grace is the same way. Whether they sound the best or not they both love the game and what they are doing and I'd take that any day over some snobbish guy like Brennaman.

My point was, non biased/homer fans will tell you, Sutton is pretty lousy.

Did anyone catch the Rockies v D'backs Spring Training game they broadcast on FSN earlier this week w/ the Rockies announcers? Those guys weren't great or anything, but they were much better than Sutton. They never yelled, and didn't have any of Suttons fake (sounding) enthusiasm.

but they have fake sounding harmony with each other. they try to joke and its awkward to listen to.
