Okafor will be listed as 6'10" in the pros. Check out that monstrous wingspan, though: his standing reach is only an inch shorter than P.J. Ramos'!

Al Jefferson and Kris Humphries were about the same size as Okafor, which is bigger than expected for either of them.

Iguodala, Josh Childress and Shaun Livingston are effectively the same size, but Iguodala's got about 20 pounds extra. Josh Smith and Luol Deng are a little bigger, and Deng also has very long arms.

Devin Harris isn't any longer than Ben Gordon, and he needs to eat a sandwich or something. At this rate, Shaun Livingston will be pushing him around next year.

Anyway, these are fun to look at, for me at least. ;) Use the link if you want to see them lined up properly...

Ha! Scooped you by one minute! :p It all came down to which cost more time -- your nice separate-window formatting, or my blue highlights.

Obviously, the highlights were much quicker to install. :D

Surprises?

I thought Howard was taller and Okafor might be shorter.

Iguodala is taller than I expected and Harris is shorter than expected.

Livingston is taller than I expected and Deng is shorter than expected.

Harris is listed at 6'3 and thats what he measured at - I was disappointed in Lamizana's measurements but he doesn't seem to be getting much interest.

Sato was the biggest disappointment I noticed though.

I guess I don't see how Harris disappointed. He is 6'3" in shoes. That is generally not the players are listed these days. I was surprised that Okafor is actually 6'10" in shoes. I really thought he was about 1" shorter. I also thought Howard was about an inch taller, but I didn't realize his arms were so incredibly long. Originally I thought Iguodala was a really about 6'5" in shoes. However I figured he had at least a 7'0" reach.

I really wasn't disappointed in anyone's measurements. Sato I guess I would say Sato was probably the biggest disappointment.

Oh, I was also surprised that JR Smith is as big as he is. I really thought he was 6'5" in shoes. He also has a s 6'10" reach and he weighs 220 pounds.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I was referring to Harris' weight at 170 pounds.
Harris, Devin 6'1.75" 6'3" 170 6'7.5" 8'2.5"

Harris will want to throw on some weight if he is going to go inside with any regularity. However players like Sam Cassell, Jason Terry, Steve Nash, etc. are the same height and only listed at 10 pounds heavier.

Kris Humphries 6'10? Wow his stock just went through the roof.

he is 6'9.5" in shoes with a standing reach of 8'10". That should help his stock, but it definitely isn't going to send it through the roof.

It seems to me that the big question about Humphries was whether he had the size to play PF. Now that question is answered, so I would expect his stock to go up.

I think it all relative. Draftcity's "weakness" section might cause one to lose some enthusiasm.

Shot selection needs to improve. When he gets the ball, he only really sees one thing, the basket. That might be OK playing for the Gophers, but he needs to develop some passing skills to make it in the NBA. Granted he plays for a mediocre team, but it’s hard to understand why he prefers to run into brick walla and throw up bad ***** rather then look for the open man, especially when he is double teamed.
His biggest knock (and it’s a big one) is his defense. He looks lost most of the time, he gambles a lot and just makes poor decisions. He relies on his hands too much, instead of his feet, it seems like he has almost no lateral quickness whatsoever, definitely not enough to guard NBA players on the perimeter. He often bites on pump fakes and gets caught out of position on rotations.

Humphries is a bit undersized at 6-8, although he makes up for it with his strength, athleticism and intangibles. He will likely struggle against some of the bigger Power Forwards of the league his first couple of years until he learns how to adapt his playing style.

Ball handling has a long ways to go. It’s not a good idea for him to put the ball on the floor from the perimeter right now, and his first step isn’t all that impressive anyway. While he is a good shooter from the perimeter, he is mainly a catch and shoot type guy right now, it’s hard to imagine him putting the ball on the floor and pulling up for a jump shot, although he may certainly prove me wrong after a couple of years of hard work. He does have very long powerful strides taking the ball to the basket, so the potential is there if he can improve on his dribbling.

Of course I have read that several times. Almost all young players need to work a lot on their defense, so I don't read much into that. His lack of "handle" and tunnel vision from the perimeter will be smaller issues at PF than at SF. Scouting reports have assumed that he would have to play SF (or combo forward) in the NBA because of his size. As a true PF, his weaknesses should be less problematic.

Of course there is no guarantee that he will do well -- late lottery picks have quite a poor success rate, as it turns out. But I do think his stock will go up.
