NAU's Lopez Lomong qualified for the 1500 semis today, finishing 5th in his heat.
In the 100 meters Men, all three Americans, and all three Jamaicans have advanced to the thrid round.
The top 10 times are Americans or Caribbeans.
HOLY @&#(
Bolt could have run sub 9.6....he started relaxing with 15 meters to go.
Well the US hasn't been a player in the field throwing events for a while now, but was great to see a gold in the women's discus.U.S. is SUCKING at Track and Field this year.
No advancing to the finals by any american men in any of the jumps, events the US used to own.
Sprints, sucking.
Discus/Hammer - none in the finals
1,500m - none in the finals

I hope you're joking, it's just a bad year. A bit of bad luck combined with the Jamaicans having a great year.Honestly so many of our top guys are out on drug suspensions.

Richards just messed up again when it counts and it looks like Felix might be carrying an injury too!!!
Hopefully somebody will beat Bolt in the 200m to cheer me up and Oliver will win the hurdles to give me a good return on my bet!
That was disgustinig...you guys really need to work on the relay, pathetic as usual (GB cocked there mens up this year too, just as bad)
some of these guys will never win a medal at individual level and i just cant understand why its not practiced by the US team (or at least thats what the comms always say)
Clay was fantastic in the decathlon, really happy to see him take the gold. He wants to be there in four years defending as well. Hope he can make it, a true athlete.
