The Ohio State men's hockey team has advanced to the Big Ten final by way of an overtime 4-3 win against No. 6 seed Wisconsin at the Schottenstein Center on Saturday night.

OSU had the game in the bag as time ticked down in the third period, up by a score of 3-2, but the Nittany Lions were able to get a goal at just 5:53 left in the game to tie things up at three goals a piece and send the game into overtime. On the way to all the drama, the Buckeyes got the first goal of the game thanks to a tally by Gunnarwolfe Fontaine at 9:24 left in the first period.

Penn State tied things up and then took the lead though in the second period before the Scarlet and Gray were able to tie things up at two goals each early in the third period, then took the lead on a Patrick Guzzo goal with a little over eight minutes left in the contest before the drama of overtime

In the extra session, Fontaine scored the game winner to send the fans home happy at the Schott and into the Big Ten final against Michigan State. That game will take place on Saturday, March 22, just one week from today.
